At Southern Waters Legal, we understand that one of the biggest concerns people face when going through a separation is how to afford legal fees. Family law matters are stressful enough without the added pressure of worrying about costs. That’s why we partner with JustFund to provide our clients with more flexible payment options for family law services.

What is JustFund?

JustFund is a specialised service designed to help individuals manage the costs of family law matters. They provide a line of credit to cover your legal fees and disbursements, which means you can focus on your matter without needing to pay upfront. Instead, repayment occurs only once your property matter has settled and funds are received.

In simple terms: you get the legal support you need now and only pay once your matter has settled.

How Does It Work?

JustFund’s process is straightforward and designed to remove as much stress as possible:

  1. Application – Apply online or over the phone, with JustFund working directly with your lawyers to keep things moving quickly.
  2. Assessment – Your eligibility is reviewed, usually within a week, once all information is provided.
  3. Approval – If approved, funds are advanced to cover your legal fees and disbursements.
  4. Repayment – You repay the loan only from the proceeds of your property settlement.

This means you don’t need to delay seeking advice or compromise on the quality of your legal support due to financial pressure.

Who Can Access JustFund?

To be eligible, your matter must involve a division of property. Unfortunately, JustFund cannot assist with parenting-only matters. However, if your parenting matter is being run alongside a property settlement, funding may still be available.

Why This Matters for You

Family law matters are often complex and emotionally challenging. Having access to flexible funding means you can concentrate on achieving the best possible outcome without the added burden of how to pay for it along the way. At Southern Waters Legal, we believe this partnership helps make quality legal advice more accessible to those who need it most.
