Southern Waters Legal is pleased to share that Adeline Schiralli will be presenting in the College of Law’s Retirement Villages Contracts in NSW – Lunch & Learn Series.

With the 2025 Retirement Village reforms now in effect in NSW, the rules around retirement village contracts have changed significantly. Incoming residents now receive stronger disclosure documents, all operators must use a standard contract, and new obligations around capital maintenance, reporting, and regulatory oversight have been introduced. These reforms aim to provide residents with greater clarity and protection.

Date & Time: 24 March 2026, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm AEDT

In this one-hour CPD session, Adeline will provide legal practitioners with a practical walkthrough of the new rules, highlight key risk areas, and outline essential considerations when advising clients entering or exiting retirement village contracts.

Topics covered include:

  • Types of tenure under retirement village contracts
  • Fees and charges
  • Exiting requirements
  • Key considerations, including estate planning implications

At the end of this live webinar, you will earn 1 CPD point. To attend this session, please book via the College of Law. We are proud to support ongoing professional development within the legal profession and to help solicitors remain current, confident, and compliant in this evolving area of law.
